A downloadable game
Embark was another project for college, this time working in the team Soup Kitchen Games. For this project, everything was made inside Vulkan using C++ code. This one was very tricky, as the entire game ran off it's own code in a console app with Visual Studios.
The goal for this game was to create something based off an old arcade game. We chose the game Venture, an adventure game where you entered rooms to take out monsters and find treasure. The whole point, as many arcade games were at the time, was to collect enough treasure to reach a high score. We however, decided to give it an end after finding all 4 gems by completing each room.
Most of the work I did was on the character models themselves. We ran into issues early on, which resulted in the more plain models we see in the final project. I did help work a bit on the enemies and their pathing as well, but most of my time on this project was spent in Blender to make more models, as well as design the rooms. This game did come out a lot better than we hoped, considering there was no engine to make this in. It was all done in Blender and C++.
